An Afternoon at the Mall
One of my ex-girlfriends, who I’m still really good friends with, called me up the other day and asked me to spend an afternoon with her at the mall. She said she needed to pick up some new baby rompers for a friend of hers, but that she didn’t want to do this alone. She’s been going through a particularly bad time, so she said that she needed me to help her get through the day. Even though we didn’t last as a couple, I still enjoy her friendship and would do anything for her.
As soon as we got into the mall she got sidetracked and started looking at the new Splendid Littles clothing line at Macy’s. She said that they had some pretty good deals there because the store is always selling things at ridiculously low prices. With that I had to agree with her, because last year right after Christmas I ended up picking up several different jackets for like $60.
Later that day we were looking at the new Imps & Elfs at a completely different store. But then it was getting close to lunch time and I was really hungry. It’d been forever since I had some pizza, so I suggested to my friend that we split a large one.
